Post Polak Represents Newark Community Economic Development Corporation

June 22, 2016

Post Polak is representing the Newark Community Economic Development Corporation (acting on behalf of the City of Newark) in the acquisition of property rights for Newark Riverfront Park and Expansion, a 15-acre park reclaiming a previously contaminated industrial site along the Passaic River in Newark. The park, begun in 2010 and being developed in six phases, is a partnership of Essex County and other partners, and includes an athletic complex, walking and biking trails, a floating boat dock and a boardwalk. The Trust for Public Land was responsible for design of the first three phases. The remainder of the park is being designed by James Corner Field Operations, landscape architects and urban designers known for The High Line in New York City and other innovative and high-profile projects around the country and abroad. Among Post Polak's other municipal clients are the Township of South Orange and the Borough of Mountainside.
