November 13, 2018

The New Jersey Licensed Beverage Association (NJLBA) held its annual conference at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City, November 13-15, 2018. Jeff Warsh, who serves as the Legislative Agent and Counsel for NJLBA, provided an update concerning new, pending or proposed legislation that will or may have an impact on NJLBA’s membership. Dave Epstein and Siobhan Beere then provided a presentation on the topic of sexual harassment in the workplace, focusing on how sexual harassment can be identified, dealt with and prevented in the specific context of retail alcoholic beverage establishments such as restaurants and bars.  NJLBA represents the interests of on-premise licensed beverage retailers in New Jersey, however, its annual conference is attended not only by members of that industry, but also by many others, including manufacturers, wholesalers, industry consultants, alcoholic beverage and hospitality law attorneys and representatives of  New Jersey Alcoholic Beverage Control.  Post Polak Hospitality Group Chair Doug Sherman also attended the conference.
