Overview
Mitchell Portnoi concentrates his practice in serious plaintiff’s personal injury matters, wrongful death, workers' compensation and medical malpractice. He additionally handles significant employment discrimination matters on behalf of both employees and employers. He is a “Certified Civil Trial Attorney” as designated by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He is admitted in the States of New York as well as New Jersey. 
 
Mitchell has been a volunteer with the District VII Ethics Committee and the District XII Fee Arbitration Committee and volunteered with Trial Lawyers Care (TLC) in assisting victims of the 9/11 World Trade Center tragedy in receiving awards from the Victims Compensation Fund. He has been a speaker at the New Jersey Association for Justice Boardwalk Seminar on Diminished Value for Motor Vehicles and the Richard J. Hugh’s Inns of Court. He has volunteered his time in serving as a Mock Trial Judge and mentor for students Union County Mock Trial Competition. 
 
Mitchell was law clerk to the Hon. Thomas Mannion, Erminie Conley and Amy Piro Chambers, Judges of the New Jersey Superior Court, Middlesex County.  He is a Master in the Richard J. Hughes Inns of Court and has been an acting member of the of Union County Bar Association as well as a past member of the Board of Governors of the the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ). Mitchell is currently also a member of  the New Jersey Bar Association and NJAJ. 
 
Mitchell has been included in the list of New Jersey Super Lawyers for years running  as a top-rated personal injury attorney.
