Raúl (Rudy) Garcia
Raul “Rudy” Garcia provides legal services to Post Polak’s municipal and business clients. He has represented various municipalities as corporation counsel, and housing authorities , parking authorities and boards of education as general, labor and special counsel.
After achieving success working at a prestigious New York City law firm, Rudy decided to serve the public and thus began a long and distinguished career in state and local government. Rudy was elected to serve as a five-term member of the New Jersey General Assembly and as Mayor of Union City. While in the legislature, he was elected Associate Minority Leader by his colleagues and was a member of the Banking and Insurance Committee and the Education Committee. Rudy has served as Treasurer of the Democratic State Committee, Vice President of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators and Co-Chair of Jon Corzine’s successful 2000 U.S. Senate election campaign. In November 2017, Rudy was selected to serve on New Jersey Governor-elect Phil Murphy’s Gubernatorial Transition Team as well as the Transition Team of Atlantic City Mayor-Elect Frank Gilliam.
Rudy has also been a partner at MBI-GluckShaw, a Trenton-based government relations firm. At MBI-GluckShaw, Rudy managed issues covering roadway improvement, environment, commercial development and lending.
