Trusts & Estates

Despite the ever-changing tax laws, there is still a great need for estate planning. At Post Polak, we help our clients attain their goals through the use of simple or in-depth wills, trusts, medical directives, powers of attorney and other sophisticated planning techniques. There is great peace of mind to be had knowing that you have put a plan into place to protect your loved ones in the event that it is ever necessary. We look at the entire financial picture of an individual or a couple to help determine what the best course is for planning, including possible life insurance needs, key man insurance needs and buy-sell agreements for closely held businesses. We assist our clients with elder-care planning, such as Medicare and Medicaid planning and asset retention planning.
Post Polak also handles complete estate administration, whether or not an individual who passed had a will in place. From a simple probate to a highly contested family dispute, we work with the local surrogate, federal and state tax authorities when warranted, creditors, banks and money managers in an attempt to maximize the amount left for loved ones and to accurately complete what can be very difficult and time-consuming administrative chores within the confines of the law.
